Have You Voted for Nila?
Thu, March 12, 2009 at 07:57PM Is it not sometimes interesting to see how things can quickly develop in just 3 weeks?
I am just back from a vacation last Tuesday, and before I left about 2.5 weeks ago, I got an email from a good friend of mine, Nila Tanzil, who is an Indonesian girl lives in Singapore. She emailed me to inform her participation in the best job in the world, a program created to recruit an island caretaker in Hamilton Island, Great Barrier Reef Australia, as part of Queensland Tourism program. It is open for anyone in the world. The world is big, so quite a thin chance, huh? That's why probably Nila's tone was a bit shy when she informed me about this.
And then 2 weeks and a trip away, I'm back in Luanda, open my little cute macbook and access facebook, I just knew that she has aparently been shortlisted from 33,000+ applicants into just 50; and that her current status now is rank no.13 by voting!!! And she is actually the only candidate from Indonesia. Pretty remarkable, I must say! :)
Browse the web, you would see that this program has attention from all over the world. Nila's participation and candidacy can reasonably give quite a promotion for Indonesia. Cool!
Want to vote for Nila? One can re-vote every 24 hour. It's painless really, just follow this link:
