A Day in Chez Antoinette

 

Further to the east of the Netherlands, there is this town called Deventer where we can find some gazellig restaurants or place just to have some drinks. Yesterday, on October 9, 2005, Marthijn & I celebrated (again) our wedding and Marthijn's "farewell" in this portugese restaurant/ cafe, Chez Antoinette in Deventer, and invited relatives from NL. Most of the invitees made it to the place, which is great, so I had a chance to know Marthijn's relatives and friends a little bit more.  It is impressive to see how people coming from the North or West of NL (1-2 hrs drive) to attend this "party". I am not usually put this thing into blog, but this is just to remind myself how amazing the evening was... The venue, the food (tapaz) and most importantly, the people. It is always nice to know more people in your life, especially when they are the ones who are close to your loved one. :)

Why Deventer, btw? Simple: Marthijn grew up there! (well, actually around there, but very nearby).
